The TONS Advisory Board and the 2010 Host Committee are committed to MPI's vision of sustainability and sustainable events.

As part of this commitment, the 2010 SEC has partnered with the Southeastern Guide Dogs as part of our social sustainability initiative.

Southeastern Guide Dogs is a premier, internationally accredited guide dog school headquartered in Palmetto, Florida and the only guide dog school in the Southeastern United States.

Their programs include Paws for Independence for blind and visually impaired individuals, Paws for Patriots for blind and visually impaired veterans, and Gifted Canines, which places dogs into narcotic or arson detection, search and rescue, therapy and other specialized careers. They provide all these programs free of charge.

MPI Sustainability

MPI Objective

We recognize the immense potential impact our actions have on the communities in which we do business, and make a deliberate commitment to the transformational power of meetings and events to support environmental, economic and social sustainability.

We will establish leadership and demonstrate commitment in the area of sustainable meetings by including environmental, economic and social factors in decisions we make on behalf of our members, and by making the best use of resources for maximum impact and alignment with our objectives.

We will educate and inform our members about our actions. We are committed to building our brand, supporting our mission and vision and connecting our community in a sustainable way
